Robotics

Robooky Robotics is a branch of technology that deals with the making, programming, and designing of robots. Robotics courses will teach children valuable concepts in engineering and physics, allow them to experiment with their ideas, expose them to the process of designing a product to complete a specific job, and show them that many times there is more than one correct solution to the same problem.

While working in design teams, students will take on the roles of different engineers. Together they will build and program their robot to conquer the challenge given.

Coding

Coding, or computer programming, is a creative process programmers perform to tell a computer how to perform a task. At its foundation, it involves writing computer programs using programming languages.

Kids computer programming courses using games, apps, and other kid-centric projects is a research-based approach that has been proven to teach real world skills in a way that keeps students engaged. Coding for kids begins with drag-and-drop visual programming. Once they've learned the basics, kids can transition to more traditional programming languages.

Minecraft Programming

Minecraft is not only one of the most popular games in the world, attracting millions of users every day, and which children love. It's a virtual world of unlimited possibilities! Children can develop their passions there, create freely. Minecraft Programming teaches programming in an accessible form and in an environment that your child loves! Programming is the language of the future. During our classes, we will learn the secrets of programming, and have a lot of fun!

Chess

Our programme incorporates class lessons, group work, individual problem-solving, and various forms of tournament play to reinforce and evaluate chess abilities at each skill level. It is most important that children be placed in the correct level to ensure maximum benefit of the programme.

Graduates of the programme learn the full range of tactical skills (pins, forks, skewers, etc); are introduced to the opening, middle, and endgame theory; are capable of in-depth analysis of their own and others' games; are familiar with chess notation; and finally, are knowledgeable of the range of resources that are available to continue to improve their games after the classes finish.

Instrumental Music - Guitar, Piano, and Violin

We offer a variety of other instrumental courses, for children to enable them to enjoy the instrument of their choice. All courses are carefully designed and developed to enable students to make a positive start with first musical experiences and to support them in the development of their skills. Particular emphasis is placed on developing musical creativity for each student.

Learning music improves concentration, memory, imagination and the development of fine motor skills. The supportive environment of our small group lessons enables children to grow in self-confidence as well as enhancing their listening, collaborative and non-verbal communication skills.

Art or Drawing & Vision

Creating art expands a child's ability to interact with the world around them, and provides a new set of skills for self-expression and communication. Not only does art help to develop the right side of the brain, it also cultivates important skills that benefit a child's development.

Judo or Kickboxing

Judo is an excellent activity for young kids because it builds healthy and strong muscles early on, improves their cardio, and lowers their cholesterol. Children who participate in judo have a reduced risk of childhood obesity, heart disease, and osteoporosis, even as they leave childhood and become adults. It also sets
the foundation for them to become healthy and active adults who appreciate the importance of physical activity.

Kickboxing is also a great activity for kids because it helps them developmental skills like perseverance, commitment, courage, strategy, confidence, focus, and control. It is a fast-moving martial art that builds physical skills, like speed, agility, balance, and coordination. At the same time, kids learn valuable mental skills like focus and self-control. They also practice the process of working toward a goal through personal improvement and hard work.

Ballet

Ballet requires a person to have strength and agility. We focus on developing children’s muscle strength in a way that is both fun and beneficial. Strength training also teaches kids how to exercise and sets them up for a healthier lifestyle in the future.

Along with learning how to properly strengthen their body, ballet teaches kids basic ways to stay healthy. This includes proper stretching techniques, flexibility practices, and discovering physical limits. It’s important that kids learn this at a young age so they can avoid injury in the future and establish healthy habits.

Tennis

Tennis is great for hand-eye coordination, development, and movement. It’s not a game you play standing still. Kids can benefit socially since most lessons for kids are in groups. And one thing that’s important
to remember is that tennis is an individual sport, so kids learn to be accountable to themselves. It’s a skill they can take into all areas of life.

Our Tennis Classes require children to use their brains and come up with different play ideas and strategies. This improves the tactical area as well as other areas of the brain and can help them develop strong problem-solving skills.

Acrobatics

Acrobatics encompasses total body health the similar way gymnastics does. It involves strength, stamina, flexibility, coordination, balance, control, discipline, and focus.

Young children’s bodies are still very flexible as their bones, muscles, and tissue connections are still developing, so getting a child involved in acrobatics at a young age makes the most sense. Acrobatics training will not only help your child develop physical skills but will also help them develop life skills, such as communication, teamwork, perseverance, trust, independence, and confidence.

Dance

Dancing is so much fun for kids. It allows them to stay active in a fun and exciting way. All the while, your child develops important social and emotional skills without even realizing it. Dancing is a great form of exercise, and a love of dance from an early age can help motivate kids to stay active as they grow into adults. Dance classes can increase your child’s flexibility, range of motion, physical strength, and stamina. As well as promoting overall health, enhanced development in these areas can help kids with sports and other activities at school and beyond.

When your child experiences the joy of dancing, he or she learns about expressing themselves in a way that’s beneficial to their physical and mental health. This expression provides a structured outlet for a healthy physical and emotional release that helps develop emotional maturity. By giving children the freedom to channel their emotions and energies in a safe environment, their selfesteem and confidence will increase significantly.

English course

Our English courses combine a focus on natural English pronunciation with intensive speaking and listening practice. They are designed to help students achieve English proficiency and through that, academic excellence at Thames British School.

Brain Fitness Games

Brain Fitness games are a wonderful way to tease and challenge your brain. Brain Fitness games can all improve your brain's speed and memory. These games rely on logic, word skills, math, and more.

These games are also fun. We believe that gamification makes the learning process more meaningful and motivating. That's why throughout the whole course we use various board games, physical movement, and logic games. Every game has been tested by our team to make sure it meets our high standards.
