The Thames British International Secondary School in Warsaw has an excellent reputation among expat families in the city and international-minded families seeking an international curriculum. For students aged 11 to 16, the Secondary School follows the British curriculum, serving as a natural progression between the Thames Primary and High schools.

The secondary experience at the Thames International Secondary School in Warsaw is divided into two phases. Firstly, students aged 11 to 14 attend Lower Secondary, after which at the age of 14 to 16 they take the highly-regarded International General Certificate of Secondary Education (iGCSE).

The Lower Secondary School is housed at our state-of-the-art Włochy Campus, conveniently located close to the outskirts of Warsaw’s premier business hub. The campus boasts bright, spacious classrooms and superb facilities, including labs, IT rooms, and a library, as well as top-notch outdoor and indoor sports facilities.

At the Lower Secondary phase of Thames British School, students follow the world-renowned Cambridge curriculum with 10 subjects including English, Maths and Science, giving students the opportunity to develop their creativity and expression in a variety of ways whilst taking onboard the knowledge and skills they will need for post-14 education programmes. The course is offered alongside the Polish National Curriculum.

After completing this stage of their education, students at the International Secondary School at Thames British School move to the nearby Mokotów High School Campus in a prime location right in the heart of the Mokotów district. The Mokotów campus in Tupilan House is an architectural wonder, featuring a spectacular lobby, a beautiful lunch zone, and lashings of outdoor space. Along with the core subjects of English and Maths, students also choose additional subjects from a variety of options that from 2025/2026 will include German, Spanish, Art and Design, Computer Science, Geography, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Business Studies, French, and Global Perspectives.
