On January 14th, Thames British School Włochy Campus hosted an exciting Oxford-style Debate, featuring students from all Lower Secondary age groups. Four teams of skilled debaters faced off, discussing thought-provoking topics such as:
- – Juveniles should be tried and treated as adults,
- – Violent video games should be banned,
- – Lower the voting age to 16,
- – Human cloning should be legal.
“The participants demonstrated remarkable preparation, engaging in lively exchanges of arguments and showcasing their mastery of the formal rules of Oxford-style debating.” – says Ms Marta Kosmala-Kozłowska, organiser of the event. The victorious teams were awarded gold trophies in recognition of their achievements.
The event was organized with the support of the Head of Campus Włochy, Ms. Katarzyna Wiśniewska. During the Student Assembly organized by the Student Council on Wednesday, January 22nd, all debate participants received professional certificates of participation.
Additionally, the Jury—comprised of Katarzyna Wiśniewska, Marta Kosmala-Kozłowska, Joanna Monowid, Mateusz Rabi & Jessica Wrbka — awarded special certificates to honor the best debaters across all age groups.
Congratulations to all who took part in this inspiring event!
