Our Early Years British school (International school of Warsaw) would like to share what has been happening with you with weekly updates! This is what has been happening this week in our Park Szczęśliwicki Campus.

Early Years

The highlight in EYFS this week has been our whole school trip to the fantastic Copernicus Center. It really is a world class resource and the youngest children really got busy playing and discovering in the Buzz zone. Back at school we used our photos from the visit for some lovely writing and drawing about our day out, while others talked about their experience. We definitely recommend a re-visit!

Year 1

Year 1 had a wonderful Education Week. We began by joining other year groups from Thames British School to visit the Copernicus Science Centre. Here, we investigated various scientific principles including water transfer, light and forces. Back in class, we wrote reports of about our trip and we were inspired to learn about the Polish scientist; Copernicus. We learned about Copernicus’s discovery of the orbits of the planets in our solar system and this led to the creation of our own models of the solar system. The children also greatly enjoyed researching and discovering about NASA’s space shuttle and weightless experiments on the ISS. Meanwhile in our math’s lessons, we furthered out understanding of fractions.
