Learn about the recruitment process at THAMES BRITISH SCHOOL Warsaw

The recruitment process aims to enable the children to enter the kindergarten and familiarise themselves with the British curriculum which is implemented in the institution. Through the recruitment process the child will be able to fully familiarise itself with the way the classes are conducted.

All the parents and students are welcome to attend meetings with the headmaster of the kindergarten whose job it is to review each application with the assistance of the appropriate team.


EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE
NURSEY AND RECEPTION

In the Nursery our youngest children are introduced to a stimulating school life where enjoyment is the main ingredient in a programme that initially teaches through play. The school day offers children a range of practical and creative activities and develops oral, literacy and numeracy skills as well as placing emphasis on independence and social interaction.

The Reception year is particularly significant in building the foundations for a child’s continuing educational experience. The classrooms have been specially designed to create a stimulating, warm and nurturing environment. Staff aim to develop children into well-rounded individuals ready for the next stage of their learning journey.

In the Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), children attend school for a full day and are taught by the class teachers, specialist teachers and teaching assistants.

KEY STAGE 1
YEAR 1 AND YEAR 2

Our philosophy in Key Stage 1 is to help the children to develop as confident, enthusiastic learners, by providing them with an engaging, broad and rich curriculum.

To get the most out of learning, the children need to work on four basic skills- speaking, listening, reading and writing. Through Literacy, we provide them with the opportunity to express themselves clearly and creatively. They listen to and read stories, non fiction and poetry from a range of different cultures, explore their imagination and learn to read to discover facts.
